1848 Fort Leaton
In the late 1840’s, this was a horse trading and supply post run by ER Leaton. It was located in present day Presidio County along the banks of the Rio Grande River across from Ojinaga Chiuwa, Mexico. Later, this became a Point of Entry and a US Fort.
